ABOUT AYLA:
Ayla grew up immersed in nature, herbalism, organic foods and agriculture, and deeply holistic living. Throughout her childhood, her family honored the seasons and the Wheel of the Year (or the Twelve Sabbats) where they celebrated the Summer and Winter Solstice, and the Spring and Autumn Equinox as the “high holidays”.
Through her education in Waldorf School and her mother’s own inclinations, the natural rhythms of nature and the ancient traditions that honored them became a fundamental part of who she is.
From early childhood, Ayla began learning the uses of herbal allays and was ingrained with the understanding that food and the natural world are our greatest medicine. She has been using various modalities and practices since she was a young child, beginning her exploration of yoga at age seven.
After beginning her career working as a stylist and assistant in the fashion industry, Ayla began to feel a deep call toward a more aligned path. Her journey of remembering led her to Austin, TX where her nervous system was able to recalibrate and her life was completely uprooted in order for her to begin a new journey.
Ayla has a Bachelor of Arts in Writing and Art History from Sarah Lawrence College and she studied fashion and media at the Parsons School of Design and Pratt Institute.
Ayla is the founder and creator of Inner Tide and Oeste Collective, a certified Health Coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, a 200-hour certified yoga instructor, and has studied herbalism under Peeka Trenkle.
